Please
note, to install the Release Candidate, you must have an environment configured
with SharePoint Server 2016 Beta 2. And here SharePoint Server 2016 Beta 2 url

Good news is SharePoint 2013 Designer will work with SharePoint 2016 and
SharePoint Server 2016 will include an ongoing capability to host InfoPath
Forms Services.
As
its predecessor, SharePoint 2016 will be available on premise, cloud and hybrid
model. Expectation is, SharePoint 2016 would be more scalable, reliable and
high performances. There are few long holding limitation Microsoft SharePoint
containing since MOSS 2007 which are actually wiped out wipe out in this
release version. A few examples like 5000 thresh hold factor while retrieving
list data, Content database size and many more… Here you can find more about
new features of SharePoint 2016 – https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt346121(v=office.16).aspx
As
per Microsoft, Project Server 2016 is now integrated with SharePoint Server
2016 as opposed to being installed as a standalone server. We can preview
Project Server 2016 capabilities with SharePoint Server 2016 through
provisioning a PWA in Service Application management.
I remembered back to SharePoint Server 2007 world where both the SharePoint and Project server sitting on the same server.

Below
the deprecated features in SharePoint Server 2016 Release Candidate
· SharePoint Foundation version – Free version
is no more available.
· Standalone install mode – I believe, since SP
2013, Developers habituated with multi server architecture POC farm.
· ForeFront Identity Manager client (FIM).
· Excel Services in SharePoint – Excel Services
and its associated business intelligence capabilities are no longer hosted on
SharePoint Server. Excel Services functionality is now part of Excel Online in
Office Online Server Preview (this is the next version of Office Web Apps
Server)
· SharePoint BI capabilities
· Tags and Notes
· Stsadm.exe
Regarding
migration perspective, any earlier SharePoint versions (excluding SP 2013),
needs to touch base with SharePoint 2013 before land on SharePoint 2016
environment and the only one approach would be database attach/detach.
